Many have come to realize that dog food companies can put some pretty unhealthy ingredients in their pet food and pet treat products. I love that Vital Choice Seafood has begun making wild salmon skin chews in the shape of those rawhide chews for dogs! These are far healthier than anything we find in stores, they’re nothing but the skin. Keep your pup healthy and happy with our Wild Salmon Skin Pet Chews. Dogs need omega-3s, too!

Did you know?
Salmon is a huge staple of a sled dog’s diet in many parts of Alaska.
“Dog mushers rely on a healthy catch of salmon to feed themselves and their teams all winter.” ~ Jon Little, Alaska Sled Dog Racer
*Note: The chews are best enjoyed by pets outdoors or on washable surfaces, as they may shed scale particles. They can also impart a fishy smell and traces of oily residue to textured surfaces such as carpets or sheets.
Tip: As non-musher’s we have an old towel we use for Bandit to keep the floor clean when the weather is not suitable for him to eat the chews and other messy things outdoors. The towel is easily folded up and taken outdoors to shake off and toss in the washer.
Omega-3s can support pets’ health
Vets tell us that dogs need omega-3s to support heart health and help prevent or reduce joint inflammation, arthritis, and allergies – with symptoms like dry skin and ear infections – and a variety of other ailments.
Yet, many commercial dog foods are high in omega-6 fatty acids – which generally sustain inflammation – and low in omega-3s. So adding omega-3s to your dog’s diet is a very good idea.Transparency & Appreciation: I want all of my readers to know that I do provide links on this blog to other businesses that sell products that I use and love, I will never post a link to anything that is inconsistent with my ideology.
