Tiny house floorplans, designs and features keeps bumping up to newer-and-newer levels, people are so ingenious when it comes to using space and technology. In this tiny house, the motorized bed is the coolest bed option I have seen to date, perfect for those who don’t want ladders or a loft. It’s operation and look is completely different than a Murphy Bed.
Tiny Idahomes recently completed a 180 square foot tiny house on wheels with a disappearing electric bed – meaning that raises and lowers as needed!
This motorized movable bed completely eliminates the need for both a loft and ladder or step ladder. It is a 24′ foot long RV tiny house, complete with a washer/dryer, large fridge and dishwasher in the kitchen, and in the bathroom there is a full size shower and flushing toilet.
If steps and ladders to your bed and sleeping loft are your thing then you may enjoy seeing another blog I’ve posted, steps and ladder ideas.
This is a view of the kitchen area which has a nice workable area for cooking, large fridge, 4 burner stove with a range hood, upper shelving, and a full size sink. The washer/dryer unit is on the right. And you can see a small portion of the dining table beneath the window. At the opposite end of the kitchen is the couch and movable bed. Here’s another picture of the movable bed – you can see there are storage cabinets under the bed and L-shaped couch, to the left is the half-round / fold-down dining table, and to the right is the dish washer. Here’s a video on how the bed moves up and out of the way without need for a ladder, steps or loft… Pretty cool, huh!? This next shot was taken standing in the doorway of the bathroom looking out at the whole area, it’s a nice representation of how well the space is being used. These next two shots are of the bathroom; full size shower and a flushing toilet. This tiny house has already been sold so contact Tiny Idahomes to make another for you.
